It’s spring and time to plant your home garden! What does mean to you? Perhaps you want to add color to your front porch with a few flowers. Or maybe you’d love to grow and enjoy some vegetables.
Freshen-up your gardening knowledge with tricks on selecting and planting seeds, transplanting pre-grown plants, and keeping those plants growing well throughout the season!
Whether you’re not sure how to get started or interested in how to get better results this year, get ready to get your hands dirty with this hands-on learning session for the home gardener. Session will touch on planting in the ground and in a raised bed but will focus on container gardening.
Bring your lawn and garden questions for the discussion! The more you ask the more everyone learns!

Residency Registration Limit
Registration is open to Altoona and rural Polk County residents 4 weeks before the event. Registration will be open to the general public 3 weeks before the event. Registration for non-residents that is marked "yes" for residency will be canceled and moved to the pending waitlist if space is available. You may receive two emails, one for the cancelation and one for the pending waitlist. Your registration will automatically move to confirmed on the correct date if seats are available.
